Question bout a Mic and Preamp

Hey,

A friend of mine is looking to buy a Mic and a Preamp and he found these two but I wasn't sure if they would work together so if anyone has any helpful comments about these it would be great.

He Just wants to record acoustic guitar and maybe some vocals.
Its a really small budget, so I know it wont be the best of quality.​

The reviews for that preamp are not very good. What is he recording and what kind of board is he going into?

Thanks for the reply, he is looking to record acoustic guitar and maybe some vocals, an is using one of the latest imac's with core i5, 4gb ddr3 and pro tools.

well - he needs more than just a mic and a pre-amp - he still needs an interface. Do not use the mic in on the Mac.
