Question about MPC's

I've been thinkin about gettin an MPC to make beats and am gonna start saving up now. One thing I need to know is everything else I will need. Preamps, and stuff like that. ANy help is appreciated
 
Nope, nothing. Goes straight into your mixer/soundcard
 
Damn, really? Anything else you would recommend I get then?
 
Mixer and monitors. Some kind of computer to record with. You can use any mpc with headphones if you prefer
