I have somewhat of a specific question. I own a Mackie Dfx12 mixer and a triton pro keyboard. I am trying to use the triton's sampler by hooking it up to the mixer so I can use the Pre-amps, so far I havent had much luck. Is the only way to use the sampler by going directly into the triton's input with my mic? Or is it possible to use the mixer for this? anyone have some advice?

Well I got it to work by plugging it into the headphone insert, but now I cant get it to record at a decent volume...

You're trying to run a mic to the Triton via the mixer? Or run the Triton outputs through the mixer??

Your question is unclear.

And you shouldn't be running any I/O from the headphones except headphones! You have plenty of connection options!

Just hook up the mic to the mixer preams and hook up the triton to either the main outs, buss outs, aux outs or inserts. They should all send you a signal. If you want to use the effects on the mackie then use the main outs.

When I hook it up the triton out to the mixer inserts i get no sound at all...

you need to go into the sampling mode, go to IN/PREF tab (im doing all this by memory), and there should be an output bus option, select L/R. do this for input 1 & 2 if you use stereo. Hit the record button (yuo're in input monitor mode), and your meters on the triton should be moving. adjust the mackie outputs and the triton input so you're ok, and hit record!on playback, make sure you turn off the buss thing. and when recording, dont send the triton outputs back into the triton. quite easily done.
