Quantizing Audio

Greetings,


My keyboard skills are not the best. When I attempt to record audio performances into Pro Tools 7 often times these performances are slower than the beat which I am playing. When I attempt to play the keyboard faster it always sounds too fast. How should I remedy this problem? I am making club type beats around 90bpm and recording the lead synth is where my problems lies. Do I need to quantize? If so how and where? From the keyboard or from Pro Tools?

You dont really quantitize audio, you quantitize midi so look into that (plus you can fix your mistakes)

almost sounds like you are having a serious problem with latency. check the buffer settings.
