QSR Serial drivers for Windows XP

Hi All,

Does anyone know where to find the serial drivers for the QSR to work in XP?..or a work-around with the old ones (if that's ever possible).

I'm confused - if you mean QSR as in the attached pic you don't need drivers you just send it midi.

Yes, that is the unit.

There is a handy serial port on the back that I grew to really like (in Windows 95/98.) It simply eliminated the need for a MIDI cord and made life a little simpler. I can't find any updates for this rascal anywhere, so my guess is I need to break out a MIDI cable.

Just checked the Alesis site for you. The only have the 95/98 available. Have you tried those Drivers with XP (The ones you have)? Alesis is way behind the curve when it comes to Computer stuff. They have pretty much pulled out of XP with their buy out. I would contact them.

Yes, I tried the driver from their site. I couldn't get it to fly - granted, I'm very new to the workings of XP, so there may be some way to get the drivers to work that I quite possibly don't know about. I sent them an email and got an auto-response message (no help). I think you're right in suggesting direct contact.
