If you're familiar with the Alesis qs keyboard, or synths in general, maybe you can help. This is not a universal problem, just with one program I am working on. I can't find what setting is causing this problem. It is an aftertouch issue. If I press the key firmly, the sound decays quickly. If I lightly tap the key, it sustains. Could this be a characteristic of the sample itself, or is it definately something I can change? help? thanks.

Are you using the foot pedal while doing this?

You've got the velocity response inverted.

Read your manual and it should be a one-parameter adjustment.

I have a QS8 very similar. That setting may be one adjustable with the 5 black slider switches over towards the left. They are right next of the pitch wheels if not you have some reading to do then.
