Hi Folks:

I am a total newbie to digital world of music...I have a korg triton and have just started to sequence some good songs ...ofcourse I know I am not doign it in the best way possible...I have a few questions here and if someone could help it would be just awesome...

1) Is it possible to accomodate different instruments in a same track...for example Track 5 ---> measures 20 - 45 Strings and
45 - 50 ---> flute.. and so on???
I guess this feature should be available ...but i dont know if its possible in a triton...

2) I use various rythm/drum instruments and is it possible to tune them? Is there any FX which allows to tune the drum instrument for example Table or the other pads in the drum kits
programs provided in triton? I get the exact rythm pattern but when I play it in the song, it sounds very bad because of the out of tune sound of the rythm instrument...

Thanks in advance and expeting a reply...have a great day all...

1- Yes. You need to insert a Program Change in the track and it will change patches at that point in time. Give it a second so the pitch change occurrs completely before it receives any notes.

2- Depends on the patch. If you can edit the patch and change the patch then yes. Some patches are built off of a complete kit of samples and often the individual samples are not editable. In that case you need to apply a global pitch shift to the entire kit. If you can find the individual sample for editing than you can do it.
