Hey everyone...
is the pod x3 live considered a good soundcard to hook immidiatly to the pc using usb ...or should i get somthing else with it?

I have just the regularPOD X3 and it is light years better then my M-audio.

Let me fisnih that thought.

It may not be the best sound card by industry standards but its better then alot of introductory $50 - $150 sound cards.

I noticed a huge difference.

it is good but the only problem i am facing is with finding a good metal sound high gain high treb and pres.... without getting the "vhoo" sound u know... still i am getting to know the thing using gearbox.... but we recorded one song through it if ur interisted pm me lol i removed the link

.... the song called death era.... and this was 100% pod :) ....but my friend handled the recording back then now i am trying to do it by my self heh.... but thanks anyways

erm,

Don't let gerg see your myspace link.

If you could post it up somewheres else that would be awesome Id be down for listening.

i agree that dialing in a good guitar tone does take a bit of wor kand a different approach on a POD over a real amp but it can be done.

Keep fucking with it.

You should have some eq effects and compressors and shit in the X3 live, so go experiment till you get it the way you want?

just out of curiosity, when your coming up with your tones how are you monitoring it?

headphones, monitors, amp ????

i use monitoring head phones... they are ok for now.... the thing is the clean effects are awsome and so easy to deal with but distortion heh ...kinda hard....but yea i will try to keep playing with the effects i have... thanks mate

get a line 6 ux2

2 mic inputs, instrument in, i have my monitors wired through mine and i can play through them with no latency or anything. really a great product.
