I gotta be honest - something weird happened between here and there, because my drum track was a lot tighter on this end. It seems to be ever so slightly ahead at first, then seems to sync in around 2:30.

If I recall you're using Vegas, right? Vegas has a tendancy to automatically treat an imported file as a loop, and that can cause problems. To change that, right click on the waveform and select properties. The following box should come up. Just uncheck the loop box and hit OK.
Done and done.... :o

I made a couple changes to the song. MadAudio's suggestion and some tweaking on the vocals.

I will be leaving to go back to work and won't be able to work on it too much after Thursday night, so I will be deleting the hyperlink and closing the thread after that.

Any and all comments need to be posted before that. Thanks!!!

Opened again. I noticed that when I closed it, there were only about 45 views, now it's up to over 300, so someone probably wanted to tell me how bad I suck at singing and couldn't....

"Stay hard and force her" Eddie Storey???????????
A fellow with a similar voice had 2 big hits in Oz in the 70's Will Shakespear singing My Little Angel & I can't remember. He came to a difficult end though.
Nice pean to familial relationships.
Some of the Residents' best work used this style of vocal.
