The vocals need to be more intelligble. Less reverb or just make them a bit louder. I don't know the song and had to listen very intently to make out what you were saying.

Cool song! I really liked the licks and the strange timing. Your vibrato is very nice.

edit: listened to it again because I got the song stuck in my head. The solo ends very abruptly.
Such a great song though, made me research it. I listened to Taco's synth version and had a laugh.

Schwarzenyaeger was right. It would be much better with an upfront vocal.

And yes, it is a very cool song... always has been since it was written in 1927... and here is the 1930's version from Fred Astair placing the vocal where it should be in the mix... along with a spiced up vid. I notice a few "pops".

Hey, Jon. As I said over at The Muse, I didn't like the heavy reverb on the snare at the intro, (guess its a loop?), and htought it was a little slow for a metal song until you started the vocals, thne I realized you are doing it faster than the original(s).
I still prefer the Young Frankenstein version!

Way less verb on the vocal would do this a great big favor. If you want to heavily effect the vocal, put some telephone on it. Do it again and do it nasal. Or do the deathmetal thing and sing like a hoarse demon. But this vocal sound doesn't sound so good.

Nice idea. I like the way the tune swaggers - it moves really well for Putting on the Ritz.

Humorous exercise or not, it'd be pretty good without the reverb.
