Theramin, I knew it had a name. I also knew that I didn't know what others knew, that is knowing it's a theramin. :confused:

True.

I watched "The Art of Mixing" last weekend. I didn't learn a whole lot that I didn't already know, but he made some very interesting observations on what a mix is, and a few cool concepts, etc....

One thing that was really cool was when he was talking about what you're talking about, more or less. He said that a cool thing to do with a part that loops throughout a song, or a special effect,etc...is to have it louder the first time it plays, but then you have the freedom to turn it down, even way down, because it's already imprinted in the listener's ears. So, the listener won't even notice that it's lower because they already "know" it's there

I like the associations, connotations and sonics.
Styrophone I do not like.

I like the vocals in the bridge. Kinda completes the song for me. If you really want to emphasize the parody you might do an "almost' exact copy of the theramin line. Just a thought.
