Still Learning.......
Some MP3's at last!
There a band called No Skill Required from the Isle of Wight in the UK. I think they're influences are probably the Atari's and The Starting Line. My influences (as you can probably hear) are Trombino and Tom Lord Algae.
TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!!!!!!
I want as much feedback as possible please!!!
It was recorded using only Dynamic Mics on the kit (Sennheiser e604 x 2, e845 x1, e835 x2, MD421 x1, SM 57 x1 - it was before I got the SP B1 or any other condenser of my own), POD II for the guitars, Laney Hardcore series Bass amp line out for the Bass, and the MD421 on vocals.
This all went into a Behringer MX2004a mixer, into a gadget Labs Wave 8/24 interface, into Cubase. I mixed using Eltax Monitor 3 Hi-Fi speakers (unfortunatly its all I have until I can afford the Tannoy Reveals).
You'll probably notice the popping in it - I haven't got that sorted (I need a new Motherboard and processor - there are chipset conflicts with the card).
I'm hoping they'll put the other MP3's up soon so you can rip apart all the others too! I'd really like to know what it sounds like on Monitors - I haven't had the opportunity yet.
Tell me where I've gone wrong, what needs changing etc.
Cheers, Neil
