I saw it mentioned in another thread, and thought: what the hey!

So, here's my public ftp for samples. feel free to download and upload as you please. (ONLY drums in upload thx)

Play nice, and this will possibly be a good resource for all sample-users out there.
 
ok.. there's been some ppl connected. Some seem to have problem with error 425 cannot open yada yada.. this might be a internet explorer related problem. Try a real FTP client, and try to use PASV (passive) mode if doesn't work.

Also.. the ftp will be down nighttime here.. typically midnight to 10am Central European Time, 'cause my computer sounds like a traktor...

100% of users named Gidge have no idea how to use this FTP thingy......:D
 
Most FTP clients require a host name and a password as well as the FTP address. How is that handled here?
 
Downloading some loops now..

When I get done..I'll upload some drum loops for ya..

Hey Doc...you can just login with anonymous login/pass..

Erm.. thx for the heads-up Gidgerino.. I'll make some adjustments...

And oh.. soon there'll be a bunch of new really nice samples up..
 
thanks, i get about 22kbps from east coast US, more to the 100+ gig wave samples i have already, and another 200+ of my own crap :) - tip, take fruity and insert a wave (or piece of) and twist it around a bit with one or two of the fruity synth... bad ass morphing... very bad, surel almost ...

try a "breath sample/loop, of sorts, (make your own, use names, words, etc) truely unique program fruity is indeed...
 
I get to the site ok and try to log in as anonymous but it doesn`t like the password. What should I use as a password?

Gidge, use IE and when it tries to load the page go up to FILE and click log in, select anonymous... I guess somebody will tell us what password to use...
 
when logging on to an anonymous ftp server, you are supposed to fill in your email address as your password. In the end anything with an @ should work.
 
Download a freeware FTP client from Tucows or something.

user: anonymous
password: bogus email addy
(or, there might be an "anonymous connect" option to check)
IP: glasare.mine.nu
port: 2600

if it doesn't work try enabling passive (PASV) mode.. It should be somewhere like options/setting - connection - firewall..

Ok, I was using my email and it still wouldnt work.
The ftp proggy was trying port 21. I`ll get to it when I get home on my machine. And I need to get around my firewall too. Thanks :)
 
download smart ftp from cnet and paste the ftp addy in the address box, click connect... wala...

right click on a sample to download the files to a folder (you made) abc123... simple

If you get a decent FTP client that has a Windows Explorer type interface, once you are connected the process of uploading is exactly the same as the process of downloading. Get MAX FTP!
 
I'm uploading about 100 megs of new Drum samples to the uploads directory..

I emailed Meshuggah...but no response

Can anybody seem to get this to work?

What times is the ftp usually up, Ive got some loops to upload.

Im in the US Central Time.


Did the info change?
