Thats cool and all...if not a tad condecending.:o
Anyways, i would have liked to hear a mix that you actually made an effort on.
But i take it that you dont respect this music. So i understand.

Have a nice day.

Lighten up bro, I was just having a little fun at your expense. :D I'll give you a real mix later today. And by the way, I played in a touring metal band for years.

The girls scouts of scoul!
Grrrrl scouts!

As you probably figured out, the "girl scout" plugin was a bit of a joke. I actually tried to ratchet up the "evil" sound a bit.

The song has really grown on me. Its actually REALLY good!

I need some time to get the vocal effect balanced out. There are spots where it's right on, then others are a bit too heavy on the effect. And, I need to do the toms. Right now the tom tracks aren't in the mix at all.

No comments on the mix? It's a lettle less "guitar-centric" than most people would probably mix it, but I did that on purpose.

Hmmmmm, I'd love to hear some comments.....

Here is my submission. I used to play this type of stuff in the late 80s but never mixed it. So this was/is a learning experience. Thank you.

i like that snare....very different
howdyu get that sound?
toms sound killer too.

so does the guitar..

Never mixed this type of stuff before, and I had no reference material available.
After doing so poorly last time around, I'm stumped on balance. I'd rather not be the kind of engineer that needs 5 test mixes to get it right. I need to be able to get it right the first or second time. I'll never make money if it takes 10 hours to mix a four minute song. Hopefully, this is better.
Oh...
Awesome guitar playing, and real tight performance!

I usually spend at least 8-10 hours on a mix.... often more...

LOL TR !! sorry - Chad was it? I can see him now with glaring eyes, and griting teeth. And I mean during the red button. Though, the performance was tight. What was the lyrics about?

I am glad that some of ya'll already posted, gotta check some out, cuz this is definately not something I am used to.

Its gonna take some time....

I spend maybe 4-6 hours typically, but I never get a final mix in one day.. I listen back the next day, change a couple of things, e-mail it to a friend, they suggest some change, then I decide the bass is a tad out of tune in one part, then change that, etc. Usually I make around 5-10 mixes before my final one. Then of course I continually get new gear or plugins.. and remix the song YEARS later! :D I guess it's different when you've actually performed all the parts on the song too, because you can re-record and redo things as you mix if you think they can be better.. And of course when it's a hobby there are no time limits.. except maybe a finite lifespan..

I'm still remixin' stuff I did 25 years ago!

This time around are we trying to not submit revisions? I just posted a prelim mix for the heck of it, as is evident in my post.

Just checking on how this ones going to go.
