Can I get an autograph?

I don't know how good I am at mixing, but I think my mixes feel like a straight progression. To my ears every mix I do sounds a little better than the previous. Which is cool, all the little tips and ideas kind of add up and make mixing more fun (I used to dread it and just want to play) The only problem with that is that it's hard to listen to older songs without wanting to remix them and hearing things I think I could improve both playing and mixing. Thanks again, I'll send the llama by your place and you guys can jam... I imagine this acoustic improvisation going with some jazz llama over top... that has "full length album" written all over it
listened multiple times. dug the whammy bar lama maching thing too. what'd you use for the intro echo?TravisinFlorida said:enjoyed it man. sounded like someone laugh at the end of the lama solo? i don't know, that whole solo kinda freaked me out.listened multiple times. dug the whammy bar lama maching thing too. what'd you use for the intro echo?

Yeah, I actually didn't cut the llama clip enough and there's laughing after it. I didn't notice it till later and didn't think anyone would since the llama part is so weird. Good ear.
The intro guitar, I use that later on for sort of an ambiance spacey feel too. Anyway, it's my normal electric tone, but I'm also running it through amplitude for all the extra effects. If you use amplitude, I can send you the preset.
Thanks!![]()
TravisinFlorida said:don't cut out the laugh, it's killer! it kind of left me guessing as to what the hell was going on with that whole llama bit. i use amplitude but the sounds you're getting out of it are far more interesting. one question. how did you happen to record a llama?
Naw, actually when a male llama gets pissed he makes that sound over and over. So I had a cheap tape recorder that day, then I patched it into the computer to a .wav file.TravisinFlorida said:i would'nt mind playing around with that springy/echoey sound in amplitube. are you using a real wah or is that the amplitube auto wah?

gbav said:Sounds great man, real punchy. My inner llama is very pleased indeed. I'm on a new set up so as far as mixing goes i'm pretty out of it. Everything hapening at about 2:05 is tripping me out (in a good way of course). The tempo changes are great, it really adds to the almost story telling aspect of the song. Overall i dig it man, wish i had more to comment on.
Take care man

Anyway, good to hear from you man. Both you and your inner llama. That 2:05 part is there to remind you that these are not just llamas, but pyscho space llamas... so that's cool it tripped you out, cause that's what they usually do to people. Either that or spit.
