I really want to use some of the protools .sit and .rar plugins/effects/whatchamacallzits in Cubase. Is there some sort of plugin I can use to make them available to me?

Thanks.

your question is kind of confusion...... I believe .sit and .rar are compressions (mac and pc).. but anyway

i believe there are many plugins that work in both protools and cubase enviroments ... but as far as i know there is no way to run strictly protools plugins in a non-protools enviroment..

you're going to have to stick to VST,VSTi,DX,and DXi ... but there are literally thousands of those out there... way more then i have seen available for protools machines..

By .sit and .rar plugins he's probably meaning those pirated ones he's downloaded from Kazaa, etc.

Enjoy the viruses, kid....

Exactly Tim. No Pro Tools plugins come in compressed formats on their disks which means he is using stolen ones. Which leads me to believe stolen software as well:(

We should start a thread that lists the names of people using stolen software so we can start ignoring their threads.

There are some RTAS to VST wrappers out there, though they sometimes (most of the time) don't work very well. Although, if you're still thinking that .rar and .sit files are Protools plugin formats, you probably won't be able to use any of said wrappers.

they're not RTAS to VST....there are only VST to RTAS.
