Protools and sonar

I run Sonar 5.I bought an MBOX for my laptop in case I have to do simple vocals,one or two preamps only, it would be easier to tote that around to peoples homes instead of onyx console. Once PT was installed, I had a weird noise from Mbox, only out of main output like from speakers, headphones fine. Has anyone heard of conflicts between the two systems? I would think I can have both on one computer without issues. I disable each oposite sound drivers when not in use.

Is it a high-pitched whine? This is unfortunately just part of the Mbox...and has been since the first version of the Mbox. Shame on Digidesign for not fixing it! The good part is that it doesn't actually come through on tracks when you record.

If it's not the high-pitched sound could you explain what it sounds like? I'm curious.

No. Not high pitched whine.I have/did hear that on older mbox I had, drove me nuts. Its,lets see,how to describe it, a hum almost distorted almost. Only through speaker jacks. Nothing through headphones.
