proteus 1 pop/rock

I purchased a used proteus 1 this past year. I have it hooked up to my DPM 3 keyboard.

The problem i'm having is that some of my patches work fine, and others cut out on me. I seem to only be able to play 2 or 3 notes on some of the patches. I sent it in to a repair shop for them to tell me that its the settings.

Can any one tell me how does one reset the factory presets on a proteus 1 pop/rock module?

also, does the proteus have memory that can be upgraded?

No upgrades that I'm aware of. As I recall it is 16 part multi-timbral and 32note polyphony.

4 parts = 8 notes at a time
16 parts = 2 notes at a time

You just have to be carefull and only use one or two sounds at a time if you want to play full chords. I used to (try to) do full orchestral arrangments on a Korg M1 with only 16 note polyphony. The Proteus modules were a huge step up at the time.

About the reset- I believe the first group of patches are the factory patches and connot be edited. There is the user bank and you can overwrite those with whatever you want. The factory patches never change so there is nothing to reset.
