For those of you buying a Yamaha 2816 or the 4416, it would be a good idea to get a Tripp-Lite 300 UPS.

I just plugged mine in today and it is a slick piece of gear. It has three fully-protected plugs that will take up to 300 watts and give 4 to eleven minutes of full power in case you lose your juice while recording.

Since I'm only plugging in the Yamaha2816, I should have close to eleven minutes to shut down the unit if I lose power -- it only takes one minute to get the flashlight and 15 seconds to shut down the 2816 properly.

The model I got runs about 74 pezzutos, plus shipping. Tripp-Lite makes several models that offer more off power time but for most of us, ten minutes or so is plenty of time.

You can check out Tripp-Lite at: www.tripplite.com and look at their products. It is a first class piece of gear. I plugged in some other odd/ends to the "surge protect" only plugs and got rid of the ugly cheap surge protector that I was tripping over.

These things are damn near a must for computer systems too. Even if you get a sad little unit you'll at least survive when the power flickers. With a large monitor though, you'll have to shut the machine down pretty quickly if the power dies.
