so pretty much the only reason for a patchbay is to make things more convientient .. correct... make it so you dont have to go behind the rack all the time??
well if so ..... and if not
i have a Tascam FW-1804 interface and it has two 1/4" outputs (left and right) so lets say i have a track on my computer that is already recorded and i want to EQ it with a EQ in my rack ... so what i could do is take those outputs and take them into the EQ and then back into a recording input on the interface... understand ??
so it would be INTERFACE (OUTS) > EQ (INS) > EQ (OUTS) > INTERFACE (INS) - and then i would re record the track with the new EQ.
so what i could do with a patchbay is have the interface outputs (left and right) go into the back of the patchbays 1 and 2 bays and then it would transfer to the front so that i could easly change things without even leaving my chair ... is this correct
so when i wanted my monitors plugged in id have the monitor cables left and right plug into bays 1 and 2 and then when i wanted to run it through the EQ .. or anything like that...
if you can figure this whole message out i thank you in advance !!!!
