Those links don't work.

Actually, I was listening to the old version again last night.

Can you post a link to the site, so we can listen from there?

Maybe I'm a bit "old school" but I prefer a live drummer over a program track. Granted live drummers are more work to record but there is just something about having another "real" musician in the mix.

I agree competely. Sadly, I have no room for a full kit, so the Yamaha DD55 has become my secret studio weapon, a remarkably effective "toy" that really gets the job done without the drum machine sound. The only qualifier, and it's a big one, is that you need to be proficient on drums and yet still willing to adapt to the peculiarities of the DD55. If so, it's a wonderful compromise. If not, your drum tracks will probably sound worse than via a drum machine or loops, which at least keep a steady rhythm.

I'd have to go with the live drummer between these two, but I'd say that's mostly because the samples are so dry that the drum track on the old version sounds a lot like the drums from Kid A by Radiohead. The mix of the newer version just seems a bit more alive with added ambience of the drums.

ye it does seem that bit more alive alright but sounding like kid A can never be considered to be a bad thing!
