Hey Guys,

This is something I've been annoyed by and/or struggling with in Cubase for quite a while now. Let's say I record a bassline on Audio Track 1 (mono) at one constant level. It turns out to be a really good take, excpet that I decide I want to fade in the first measure and fade out the last one. I know I can go to Audio Functions and perform such tasks, but usually (no, not always) if I was to say cut the wav where I want it to fade to and then process that small, cut wav, it processes the whole track, that is it fades in the entire bass line, not just the cut part. Hopefully someone here speaks this language (read: retarted), and can clear it up for me. Thanks in advance for any and all ideas!!

Hi laj35,

In the audio editor, just drag with the left mouse button to highlight the section you want to fade. Then use your fade
in/out option as normal. This will only affect the part you
selected.

Hope this helps!

OOOOOOOOOh what an idiot am I, so very sad and decrepid. I've never even tried processing stuff within the edit window. I really don't do that kinda stuff too terribly much cause of the afore-mentioned troubles, but I'd imagine I will now that I've conquered another brain fart, errrrrrrrrrr..............

Thanks man!
