Hi there folks,
I've been having some problems with recording in stereo on Cubase SX. I use stereo audio tracks, there are two waves indicating a stereo track (see the image below), and I exported to stereo interleaved mp3, 44.1 kHz, etc..
However, the actual audio file, the mp3, seems to be in mono! I took it into a studio at Uni, where the speakers are much better than mine, and it sounds mono. Also, I've compared the finished tracks with professionally produced material, ie steve vai, satriani, etc and there is a clear difference, and not just in guitaring!
Any suggestions. PLEASE GO TO www.myspace.com/jimmywelburn to listen to a couple of tracks (Run Outta Fuel is the most obvious one) and let me know what I'm doing wrong!
