Problems With Recording Setup

IT'S IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THIS WHOLE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM VERY THOROUGHLY AND CAREFULLY, THANK YOU. I recently bought some equipment for home recording, this included a Yamaha MW8CX USB mixer, a Behringer C-1 recording microphone, all necessary wires, and a stand and a filter, but those are irrelevant for answering the question right now. The setup worked the first time, when I was just testing. However, when I needed to record a few days later, the mixer and mic didn't connect properly. The mixer was on (I could tell from all the lights obviously), and I know the mic was supposed to be properly connected since the mic's power light was shining. However, the light in the slot where the mic connects only shines for about a split-second after the wire is put in, and same goes with the meter on the mixer that tells me how much sound the mic is picking up, so obviously if no sound is picked up at all, they are not connected properly. However, the mic always has power when it is plugged in. I personally think this is a problem with the wire, but can anyone tell me what exactly is wrong? By the way, yes, the phantom power is always on. (Note: One of the three pins in the Behringer C-1 microphone's plugin point got a little pushed in after I was putting all the equipment away from the first test, so the wire connecting the mixer and mic is only connected to the mic by two pins instead of three. I don't think this has anything to do with the problem because the mic still has power and they are properly connected for a split second after plugin, but I'm not completely sure. Do you think that that one pin is important for the recording part? I'm sorry, I don't know a lot about all this recording equipment and stuff, I'm only 15. I suppose that's not a really good excuse but I don't really know a lot about this stuff so I need your help with this, thanks a bunch.)

I suggest you cut out the shouted instruction and then redo you post breaking it into readable paragraphs.

I don't know about others but when I see great slabs of type I just blank out.

Dave.

Phew, managed to read all that... .P
Seems, that the problem is in the mic connector, go get it fixed. And yes, all pins all necessary. How did you manage to break the connector (Yeah, sure, it's Behringer, but still :D)?
To make sure you could test with another condenser mic.
