I was trying to record both channels at one time using Adobe Audtion. The Channel A records just fine, but Channel B in audition the levels are very low. When I look in the M-Audio control panel the levels are recording fine, Even in Audition at the bottom where I see the levels they are peaking, but what is actually recorded goes from untiy to -27 on both sides. They won't go higher than that. Any ideas? I'm thinking it has something to do with the software setup, but I could be wrong. I have the DMP3 hooked up with RCA cablesgoing into adapters heading straight into inputs 3 and 4 in my Delta.

The standard way to troubleshoot this kind of thing is to work through the chain (hardware and then software) one step at a time, swapping A for B. At every stage if the swap changes which side has the problem, you've isolated the stage. If no difference, swap it back, then move to the next stage and repeat.

Good luck,
RD

Hmm... don't know what I did, but everthing is working fine now... That's weird. I swapped the channels in the back of the preamp previously and the problem followed the mic, but now everything is working. I know it wasn't the mic, no it's not the preamp or the soundcard since the signals were monitoring accurate.... interesting....
