Problem with Tascam 238

Hi everyone!

I'm afraid this is going to be tricky to solve, but I have a problem with the counter display of my (newly purchased) Tascam 238. It doesn't display anything.

I've checked that the reset button and RTZ button work perfectly, it seems that only the display doesn't work anymore. I've opened the 238 and I checkeck that the connectors were all plugged in. It was very clean inside and everything seemed to be in place.

I googled around to search about a similar issue but no luck so far.

So I wonder if there are some 238 users on this forum who would have experienced the same issue.

PS even if it's not as good as the TSR-8, I'm very surprised how good the sound is with the 238.

I have a 238 but have never had that problem. I'm thinking maybe the Lcd screen burnt out. Sounds like you need to contact Tascam for a spare. Or maybe try finding a junk 238 for parts. Cheers,
