Hi guys,

During recording session when I clicked on "record" button my gain level jumped up without me playing a note. It happened on every track i tried. When I started recording it created a wave that looks like Audio Suite generator at -8db, but without sound. i cannot record .What can it be and how to fix it?.. Thank you

a perhaps too simple question, but can you describe the signal chain of this track?

Initially I was recording voice to M-box through a mic. By the same happens on every audio track, The gain does not jump only if i set input to S/PDIF and on MIDi track.

that is quite strange. seems to me it would have to be a problem with the daw itself if it affects every track. did u record each track at the same time, or were these done on different takes, the problem only occuring after a recent take?

M-box has only 2 inputs, so i record one track at the time. All score was recorded before, today I was doing voice and it started on vocal track, but when I tried different tracks and different sessions, this problem was everywhere, except MIDI. I have a feeling that somehow it is connected to volume.

hmm... and if u didnt change any settings on the mbox itself... you could try to normalize or something of that nature, but idk if that would help or not. I do believe this one is beyond what i know. i cannot even log on to pt right now because of an ilok issue, so i understand how frustrated you feel. im sorry i wasnt more help, but im sure it will come.
