I bought a used VC7 about two years ago. I use it to record vocals and guitars on my computer, I have the M-Audio Delta 44 soundcard. Yesterday when I was going to use it I connected the VC7 to the breakoutbox of the soundcard, I accidently touched the tip of the cable to the breakoutbox, and there came blue electric sparks between the cable and the box. After that happend I cant get no sound out of the VC7. Not from any of the channels even though it only happend to one of the channels. But I think the preamps are working, the needles in the VU respond like they normally do. But there is nothing coming from the ouputs.

Please help!

Sounds like you took out a few regulators and the outputs. It can be fixed by a competent service guy, so as you are in Sweden, you will need to locate one.

I was talking to some guy at joemeek yesterday. Maybe I send it to them. But it would have been much easier if someone in sweden could fix it.

it would be nice if they had an office in Sweden. I would send them an email explaining your situation and see if they have a branch somewhere closer to you. They really have excellent service. I just got my VC6Q back from them a month ago, not only they fixed everything for free, they replaced the missing nubs, too!:)

Well, we are Joemeek now. We purchased the company back in January. Since then, we have been designing new Joemeek models to fix some of the problem designs by the old Fletcher ElectroAcousitcs company who went out of business last year.

The problem is, we only have a servicing office in the USA, and not in the UK, however all over Europe there are plenty of people who can service the VC7.

This is why I suggested to BootCut that he look there to get the unit serviced. We can assist with schematics to aid the tech there to fix it.

I have been talking to Jonny Monument at tfpro, I will ship the VC7 to him then he will take it to Ted Fletcher so he can repair it. Since there is no warranty left I have to pay for the repairs, but Jonny said it wouldn't cost me more than £40 including shipping. I think that's fair enough. I really don't think it would have been cheaper to fix it in Sweden, and I think it's worth some extra money if I know that Ted himself is going to repair it.

Thanks for the tips!
