These are pretty new monitors, only used for a few projects. A while ago the right speaker started emitting a very high-pitched whine that comes and goes and occasionally changes pitch/volume. It sounds almost like feedback, but it's definitely not. It's just the one speaker and it's not the cord. It happens even when the speaker is unplugged and when connected to different preamps or no preamp. I'm pretty sure it's the tweeter, too, because it gets hot much faster than the left one. I'm a poor musician and college student and I'd really hate to have to get new monitors already... please tell me I'm not screwed.
