problem with Marantz PMD740

Sorry to overpost...
I just found a series of videos on tearing down this unit. It turns out these are off of the back of the tape transport unit; the plastic is the spring retainer, and now I just need to find the screw that holds the spring retainer in place. Problem almost solved.

Hi, I have exactly the same situation with a Yamaha MT120. I can push the plastic retainer over the end of the axle and it just about holds the spring in place, but it's not stuck fast. I don't see where the screw that @Whirled Record mentioned would go. Did you manage to fix the plastic retainer firmly in place? Thanks.

Hi, I have exactly the same situation with a Yamaha MT120. I can push the plastic retainer over the end of the axle and it just about holds the spring in place, but it's not stuck fast. I don't see where the screw that you mentioned would go. Did you manage to fix the plastic retainer firmly in place? Thanks.
