Problem w/ my Amp?

I have a Ramsa WP-9220 amp that I use to power my music rig. Lately I've been getting a terrible static sound coming from my monitors. I thought maybe it was an electrical ground problem in my house, yet I'm leaning more towards my amp as being the culprit. The sound persists even if all my levels on my mixer are down to zero. It typical builds to a "pop" then it stops.

I would like to know what this is and if I can fix this on my own.

link's no good... the best way to start out is view the whole system... then cut it in half... now is the noise in the first half or the second??? continue till the item is sorted... then do the same with that component... make sense??? that's troubleshooting 101... there will be a quiz on thursday....
 
whoa..... not good... pull the cables to the amp... if it persists then it's the amp... and i would ask santa for a new one... is it both channels???
