alrighty. through some amazing good fortune, i am now in the posession of a yamaha ov1 mixer http://www.piedog.com/PDGShop.asp?WCI=htmProduct&WCU=PROD_PKEY=6128,VIEWALL=Y and a creative professional 1212m soundcard http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=237&subcategory=239&product=10500

the soundcard is already installed in my computer but i am at a complete loss as how to connect the mixer to it and set up everything so i can multi-track record into cubase. i am aware that if i do not know how to use these pieces of equipment i shouldn't have them, but i would have been a complete fool for not accepting the offer for them. im pretty sure i can use the mixer when recording but i just have no idea how to connect everything up and to set up everything initially software-wise so i can use it.

i hope the links help with all the information that will be needed. im trying to set it up for use with cubase vst32.

use the omni outs in the back and the stereo outs in the back. I'm not sure if they can all work together to give you 6 outputs but the omni outs can be direct outs or bus outs or aux sends
