Pro Tools HD core cards

Is there any other product like the HD cards for pro tools that have processors built in that take load off of your computer. They have DSP's built into the card and you can run tons of high-res audio tracks without any load on your CPU. Anything like that that wouldn't cost me as much?
 
none that I know of that aren't proprietary but I would stress the "that I know of" part. So I can't tell you of any direct replacement that would be cheaper but there's some competition in the Hardware DSP processor game. Waves, Duende, Powercore...
 
Yamaha SW1000XG. Has onboard processing etc., as long as you can access it's functions and separate channels with your software (which generally you can't). I use it for all my stuff. Although I doubt you could buy a new one these days. Ok, there's probably better ones around... :)

TC Powercore looks good though.
