Pro tools 8 le mini mbox 3

Hey everyone,

AS of right now Im stumped. I cant figure out this pro tools for the life of me , even if it is the smallest task.

AS you know Im workin with pro tools L.E with a mini mbox 3 . , However for some reason when i set up multiple tracks to record on it doesnt allow me record on any other audio track but AUDIO 1. everything works perfect when I record on Audio 1 ,then when I switch to Audio 2 to record my doubles for the song It will not pick up any vocals. Even if i can here my voice in the headpones , once i stop recording , and I go to my playback I noticed nothing was picked up.

Can somebody please help me with what this situation. I have so many concerns and am determined to understand the recording world of pro tools . please assist Thanks

in the mix window, check on the audio 2 channel strip for the input. It should be the same as it was for audio 1. By default, Pro Tools will route input 1 to the first channel (audio 1) and input 2 to the second channel (audio 2), so unless you plug the mic into the other input you will need to rectify this.
That would be my best guess as to what's wrong.

To make things a bit easier to check what's going on:
On the mbox 3, turn the 'Mix' knob to 'P/B' which stands for playback. That way, you can hear FROM pro tools, rather than set to 'input' where you hear what is going TO pro tools. If it is set in the middle, you will hear the original recording (on audio 1) AND the mic input before it reaches pro tools. This is probably what you are listening to? If you have it on p/b then you can be sure exactly what pro tools is recording.
