Hey, I Currently setting up a " pro " studio, only for the use of friends record company. I'm not new to this but I do want/will appreciate any help from you guys here at Homerecording
I have a home studio but I must admit I do not have the best equipment. To make a long story short, we tired of running back and forth to Quad Studios (Nashville) so we're investing into our studio. I liked Quad Studio Studio c setup alot(Link) since I am the most use to that.
I was thinking of going with a High Quality audio converter then going from there, but not sure of what type of converter to get. Price rang $600-800 for a converter if necessary. I pretty much know what type of Mics,Computer, and Studio Monitors i want to go with. Also I have experienced in alot of Sequencers(sp?) but looking forward to using protools. Really don't have a budget for the whole studio, looking for all types of prices on equipment (but good deals). Studio will be used for R&B,Pop, and Rap mostly.
Since I'm wanting to go the protools route. Should I invest in the Digi002, Connect to Higher Quality converter and preamps? or will the Digi 002 not be neccessary? Serious help wanted, will take critisim.
