Hello! I just recently added another computer just for recording ( Xp2000,512megs, 80 gig, Soundblaster live 5.1). Initially I was getting sync problems between tracks including "pops" and "skips" on my recordings (drums, bass, guitar and lead). I performed the Windows 98SE optimization steps which helped keep my tracks in sync and clean up the noise. Problem now is when I "save as" regardless off normal, template or bundle it has a tendency to lose audio in one of the tracks. In other words when I re open a saved bun project all tracks have audio except for my drum track. This is happening all of a sudden. In the past on my old computer I would save it under any type ie normal, template or bundle and never had this problem. In addition sometimes when I re open a project the audio is missing. There is even a message saying " audio has been replaced with silence". What has changed to create these problems and how can I fix them. Tks in advance. If I just want to save a project with some tracks and re open that project another time isn't "save as normal file" sufficient?

This is a strange one. The only thing I can think of is that the wave file(s) for missing track(s) is ending up in another directory. That particularly sounds like the case where you get no audio at all, and the "replaced by silence" message.

Maybe you want to get ahold of Cakewalk's audio finder tool. Then use it to search your hard drive to see if you have files in inappropriate directories.

Of course, this should not be the case at all with bundle files, since they should contain all the audio within themselves.

As I said, strange one. Keep us posted if you figure it out.
