i'm just making sure if all this stuff i'm mixing sounds alright. here's a song that's pretty consistent with what i've been mixing, which is pretty standard rock stuff. two electric distorted guitars, a bass, drums and vocals

Are you just mixing it or did you record it as well?

The mix sounds great through my... ahem.. earbuds (hey, it's all I have available at the moment). Good balance and stereo image.

The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the bass tone--seemed like it could use some more low end. Sounds like the guy is using a pick so you can probably add some more lows without losing too much definition. But that may just be a matter of taste.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you using on the vox to produce that effect? I've always kind of wondered how to do that sort of thing but I've never bothered to attempt it.

Cheers

it's actually a distortion effect for guitars just tweaked to make it sound right. i'll look into making it a bit bassier thanks.

Nice alternative stuff, Grey!
Very good band with a great style. Bass sounds very good, it just needs some low end. Otherwise everything sounds perfect to me. Nice!

Joey:):):):)

thanks joey. i'll get on that low end deal as soon as i'm no longer sick of this song :D

Hi Greyharmonix,
I have to agree with Joey, needs more bass. Sounds really good, IMHO!!
