Cool sounds, Gunnar. I like the percussive beats of this. Who is it?
I think it's purty.... :D
I lik ethe drums. They are dry, but sound good.

Same band that the other "heavy" stuff I posted

It's a whole cd worth of music that got shelved about 20 times for various reasons over the last year........

Here is their website - although It isn't much yet - and I mean REALLY not much....(more music though)

The drums are what I like most on this. I like the dead hit on the snare, and the toms sound good. Wish there was a bit more kick though. :)

The guitar riffing is tight and the tone a little sterile to me but I like!
A couple of (pinch ?) harmonics on the guitars, I don't think they were intentional but a nice touch!
The snare a tad boxy, maybe some more in the mids and reverb?????
The singing (aka screaming, growling) not bad, a tad more balls needed to blend in with the aggressive type guitars.

My interpretation only and designed to be constructive criticism!

Overall not too bad, I liked it! :)

NL5,
I like the drums too. They DON'T have over processed sounds.
What I don't care for it the "Alien Ant Farm" guitar sound. The sound Helmet used mid 90's was more brutal & less "generic".
The lead vocal sounds a little loweer in the mix than the backing vocals, was this intentional? It does create an entirely different tension.
I like the "pinches" too - hope they were intentional.
Cheers

That snare is wicked man, I like it.
Not the biggest fan of the guitar sound, but thats just my taste, it sounds good for the generee.
Good vox recording, the bass need some more prescence, on my stereo.
Good work man :)

I like this a lot, really cool. Yup, I am not 100% crazy about the guitar sound, its a lil too fuzz for me. Nice vox, good feel to this. I would maybe boost the vocal volume just a tad but the mix is good and the music is tight.

I dig the drums too...

a well written song; I think the guitar tone is excellent for the bass-less sound. What would happen if they put down a bass track on it?

There is a bass track there - albeit quite low - in fact, I didn't realize how low - I'm gonna go back and bump the bass up a bit - there bass player quit, so it's the guitar player playing roots all the way through, so it's nothing spectacular, but it's not so bad that it needs to be THAT burried.

Thanks! :D
