Having recently purchased a Firepod (or FP10) I find it incredibly frustrating trying to find the correct drivers for it. From the reading I have picked up on so far it looks like I want the 2.14 version (I think that is it) because of issues experienced on XP with the newest driver. I tried the newest driver already and experience pretty harsh distortion on playback. I corrected the clicks and pops by adjusting the latency settings. Everything I click on for the 2.14 driver leads me to the Presonus page which always informs me that the page can no longer be found. Hellllp!

Show me a link to your model and ... how up-to-date is your XP?
Got all of the service packs?

Make sure you have sp3 installed.
Precisely.
Most often, the good ones will guide you to the proper drivers for your system or offer you a choice but only a few have an SP1, SP2 or SP3 option.
In addition, your OS doesn't run well without these packages but that may not be the problem at all. Just guessing.
Anyway, Search "PreSonus FP10 10x10 Firewire Interface , driver updates" and you should find PreSonus where you can freely download the driver but I'd take the time to uninstall any previous drivers and unplug the unit first.

I see that they make no distinction with regards to service packs so again, I'd make sure you're updated.
Hope this helps.

While I have heard at least 1 person who had issues with the new drivers on XP, the driver may not be the issue. I love my Firepod, but she's a fickle mistress, and will be quite cranky until you get her set up right!
