I have limited experience with recording interfaces and have a question about "outs". The firebox has supposedly 10 outs according to zzounds... but what are they for...? The "main outs" are for hooking up to monitors right? And then the firebox sends the left channel to one monitor and the right chanel from the main outs to another... ok then what are the other 4 for? Can you control what goes out of them from the software so that for example you are recording two guitars and a singer (bad example i know) so could you control what comes out of one out on headphones? That way the singer could hear just one guitar instead of two (for some reason)

like why have all the outs?

thanks.

You can send out multiple headphone mixes (i.e. singer needs more vocals, bassist needs more drums, etc.), or mix in surround sound if your software supports it.
