This is one of the songs that will be on my new album, "The Horror From Uranus", which should be done by late September or early October if everything goes well. I know a lot of you won't be able to relate to this music, but I would love feed back anyway :laughings:

Make sure you rate the song and I've also added the lyrics because I doubt anyone will understand what I'm saying LOL...

The drums are pretty weak. The snare in particular. No balls. The guitars sound pretty good. I don't know how serious this is supposed to be, but it's pretty hilariously comical. :laughings:

im one of the ones that couldnt relate to the music..I could make out the lyrics perfectly though..masturbate and anal rape, mmm my favourite :)

sounded pretty cleanly mixed to me, and levels seemed fine...though it all coulda been turned down, way down, like right down to 0 :D

It's supposed to be funny. The whole point is to be childishly gross and obscene. Songs about having bad gas, Explosive diarrhea, picking your nose and eating your boogers, sex with farm animals and anything so gross it's funny.

I'll work on that snare if I can figure out how to make it sound fatter.

compress the fucker back into its own anus! :D

(see we're so alike lol )

So.... Since this whole death metal / grunt crud has come to the surface, I've thought about creating a song where the entire vocal line is burped underneath a growl. hehe...

I've always thought this stuff was funny - even when it's supposed to be serious. I just can't connect to it on any other level than humor.

Anyway... The levels sounded good... Because this is supposed to be funny, I guess you could pretty much get away with any sounds. Instead of trying to make the drums sound hardcore, you could always go the other direction, and use the sounds found on some old casio toy-keyboard. :laughings:

It's supposed to be a little chaotic. Although it's immature and funny it needs to sort of rock. If you can feel a chunky groove to bang your head while picking your nose, eating your boogers and belching your ABC's, than my job is done.

I connect heavily with this kind of music and listen to it because I enjoy death metal. I have the classic albums right next to my Johnny Cash, Judas Priest, Bob Dylan, David Allen Coe, Albert King, and the list of different stuff I like is massive.

Just wait till you guys hear some of the cover songs I'm butchering. You're really going to laugh then :D

I think the whole mix sounds a bit too thin, Phil. Get some lows in there and make a real steam roller out of this.Guitar solo sounded a bit too loud.
Growling voice is good for this genre....to each his own.;)

Ha..my 4 year old daughter went running scared upstairs as soon as this started playing:p.....Love the drums! Yes , this is the type of jam I like to have in my arsenal for special occasions...I like it, jam at the end was cool!

Guitars sounded really good on this to me. I though the drums were oddly whimpy by comparison. Don't know jack about this, uh, genre?...but I can't imagine the drums are meant to be so thin. I could be entirely wrong but a more beefy drum sound would give the whole thing more impact I'd think. Sounds like rape music alright. I know I feel violated anyway.

I must not being hearing things right. I'll admit it was a somewhat quick mix mainly focusing on being able to hear everything clearly. I mixed it in my living room with less than adequate speaker placement and acoustic treatment. The drums sounded crisp and clear to me.

I think everything is recorded properly. The vocals were done in one take because I just wanted to have something to show people and to get a feel of how things were sounding from other people. They will be re-recorded later...

I guess figuring out how to make the drums sound good will be a my main problem to solve. I'll post some more once I get to the point where I'm doing most of the mixing. Right now it's all about writing, learning and tracking :D

Whimpy was probably an overstatement on my part.

Yes they do sound crisp and clear, just a bit thin compared to the rest of the mix in my opinion.

I can hear everything clearly.

nah ..... wimpy is about right. They just don't have any power to them. At least not in comparison to the rest of the tracks although I'm not finding them to sound all that heavy either.
I'm with JoeyM, everything sounds a little thin to me. Interesting tunage though.

Yeah it's cool. Bad ass drums and cool guitars with some crazy no way you could ever understand wtf your tallking about lyrics. I thought the guitar solo was pretty cool. I used to be into this kind of music back in the day, so I dig it.

I listened loud. I like the raw edge to it. I enjoyed the sound...whatever weaknesses others find in the drums or whatever. It had clang and bash. And that's valuable.

I'm not 100% sure what it needs. People say wimpy, but does that simply mean more bottom end and heavy compression on the snare for example? Is it more lows on the guitars and vocals? I do a lot of subtractive EQ in the lower frequencies to help things become more clear. I guess it's balancing act really. So, is it simply EQ that everyone is talking about or is it something else?

I'm already #11 on the sound click music charts for Death/Black metal. Not sure that means much, but none of 10 other bands I listened to sounded like what I'm doing that's for sure LOL. Good or bad I guess compared to what's going on with sound click I'm doing something somewhat original :D

Seems like sound click is SPAMMED with rap crap...
