PreAmp Question?

Hey guys,

So i'm pretty new to the whole recording thing and had a question...hope it doesn't seem to dumb. But I currently have a mbox2 and wanted to know if I should get a preamp, and if so what would the benifits of having a preamp do? Also if a preamp is needed can anyone suggest a decent one that isnt a ton of money.

The MBox has built-in preamps so you don't need to buy any. The only reason for you to buy different preamps would be to upgrade the quality of them, but in order to get a noticable step up from what you have you would need to spend quite a bit of money - more than what your MBox cost you, most likely.
