PreAmp for recording Rock Guitar? AC\DC style.

I have a M-Audio Ultra Fastrack Audio interface to my imac and use garageband to record guitar and vocals. I have seen some guys use a preamp like a "Box of Rock" to use in line with the guitar input and then use one of the clean amps in GB to get a good Angus Young sound. I am thinking of buying some type of preamp to get a better Classic Rock Sound, the GB Amps are OK but not great. ANY SUGGESTIONS???
 
Micing yourself up a marshall amp and cab and not running a line in will do wonders lol

Particularly a JTM45, it's Angus's studio amp and what they mic in their shows.
