B seems to have a bit more bite and presence, but the difference is pretty insignificant.
..which explains your not seeing the need to use a real amp in the studio.
my ears must be shot I could not hear any difference between the 2 tracks
Holy shitI was listening to the clip through 2 computer sprakers down lowwhat do you expect

I'm not seeing any consistency here.
Ok children calm down.
Preamp A was a FMR RNP
Preamp B was a DMP3
Take from that what you will.
Pre-amp A is a Mackie and Pre-amp B is a DMP3
People talk a heck of a lot of shit about microphone preamps is what I take from that.Preamp A was a FMR RNP
Preamp B was a DMP3
Take from that what you will.
That's because the samples are more than a half year old... the difference was a lot more discernable when the tracks were fresher...Both samples had a very nice tone !
I couldn't really hear a definite difference.
I found the RNP sample clearly better sounding. I can hardly believe some of you guys are comparing the DMP3 favorably to it. I need to remember this is a home recording forum more often...
