Alright heres the thing. My group has a studio with excellent equipment, but I am gettin my own little set-up here. I do not know what kind of Pre-Amp to get I want to spend around $200-$250 on one. Is there any out there in my range that will give me good qualit? Help me out, Thanks

Sh#t yeah ThunderDan!!( also a nick of an old,hang-out partner of mine).

Peep M-Audio's DMP 3. A 2-channel unit housing XLR mic and 1/4" instrument inputs with bal'd TRS outs and offers up to 60db's of gain. Clean and clear and from what I have read here on this site is now priced at $119.00 (I bought mine a while back @ $160) giving you the opportunity to buy 2 of 'em!

Keep in mind, that this is ONLY my opinion! Others here will give you great advice also on other pre's in your price range. If you live near a gear retail outfit, try to conduct A/B/C comparisons with the store's pre's in your price range!!

Peace

Yo Dan:

Double Q's advice is the best.

Try before you buy and that's no lie.
