PRE-AMP Cable to Soundcard Q?

I'm thinking about starting out by just getting a nice quality microphone pre-amp, the ART 127 Tube MP:

It says that it has XLR and 1/4 outputs. Since right now I just have a cheesy Turtle Beach Santa Cruz with line input which is a 1/8 mini jack, do I just get a plain old 1/4 to mini adapter and run the preamps output into the soundcard that way?

Sorry for the really basic question I want to be sure before I get anything. Is the Tube MP a decent pre-amp?

Thanks in advance!

Yep, if that's all you've got, that's what you do.

I have one, and am pleased with what it does for me, and what it cost. It got me started, anyway, and I now know its limitations. You get what you pay for :D .
I use it as a mic pre, a pre for my acoustic, and intend to use it on bass (which has been a recommended use on this very BBS :) )
Others may disagree, it's JMHO. YMMV.

Enjoy it !
Mike
