pre amp advise

I'm using a Soundcraft notepad as my pre before going in to my DAW and also with my HD24 (I have a Ber 3216 dig mixer for that). I'd like to get a better pre for vox and don't want to spend over $500.00. I don't think the DMP would be a step up over the Soundcraft's pres. So I was looking at the M-audio TAMPA.

Current Pres are -

Soundcraft Notepad
ART TPS (comes in handy, but for sale if your interested)
Behringer (these are on my 3216)

Want a good vocal pre

Considering -

M-audio TAMPA
ART MPA
DMP3
suggestion welcome (must sound better than Soundcraft notepad pres)
