So, I've gor some more scratch trax done... This one is a tune called You Are Good... It's full rhythm section, and the trumpet parts. Still needs the bone and sax, some percussion, B3, and the vocals, but I think I stuck this one hard so far. Can't wait to get the rest of the horns done! Any mix things I'm not hearing?

You Are Good

Sounds very good to these ears. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of it!

Thanks Don!! Long time no hear!

What, guys, izzit that bad? Just Don can hack it? :D  :D

Very clean sound!!

The instruments are extremely well played and all in there, mixed well. Will definetely sound even better still with the additional instruments you plan to add (except its hard to picture a singer I've never heard before)!

My personal preference would have the drums much more natural sounding. Are these fake or just highly processed?

It overall sounds great, keep it up.

It's a Roland V-Club kit (the entry level one...) You lose a certain amount of natural sound an gain HUGE in recordability... :) Thanks very much!!!

Alright I absolutely love the trumpet parts in there :D Do you play? Or is it real? Sounds great!

Very tight song. Nice funky bass sound in there. Man, your stuff always reminds me of the the stuff I played back in marching band. Brings back some memories, cool tune

The trumpets are real... our horn section is really good... Adding the sax parts on Wednesday, bone parts when I can get him in...I can't play anything you have to blow into... :) Oh, but I wish I could!!! Thanks!!

I'd say You are Great not just good

Just got the chance to listen to this cut. It's excellent!

I LOVE the bass chops man. The trumpet arrangement is very tasty as well. Drums are drivin' as usual... ;)

I can hardly wait to hear the additional tracks - this will be a serious tune when it's done (actually it's already seriously good). :D

Wouldn't mind hearing more tunes from the cd when they're done too.....
:D :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks very much! :D

I have two other threads going with posts from this body of work in progress, seek them out down at 60 fathoms... :) I'll post another when I get it close.. I got more trumpets going in tomorrow, and trumpet and sax parts on Wed...

Baby Grand,

Yes, the TD-06. It's Kit 27, modified to my taste. I love the little thing. I have a V-stage at home (the 08 brain) and I wish I had this kit in it! :)

Very uplifting sounding music!Love the Bass in this!!This kinda reminds me of Earth Wind And Fire a bit.Good stuff!

Finally got to listen...I always listen to stuff eventually, just takes me a while to put down what I'm working on at the time...Man, this is very "up", funky and full of groove. Nothing is wrong with it. Can't wait to hear all done...It's a very pro sounding arrangement, with awesome playing.
