practicing mixing

hey, do you guys know of anywhere I can get some cubase VST projects just to practice mixing and EQing on? I'd like to start acutally recording with it, but I don't have the money to buy decent converters/I/Os. So for now, I just wanna get used to the controls and do some ear training.

you dont need Cubase projects you just need audio tracks to import into Cubase. Im afraid im not sure where you can get these from as famous bands and artists are unlikely to have this stuff available unless you are officially working with them. Perhaps you could ask people on this site if they have any recordings they are willing to email you.

Alternatively you could just import loops from sample cds and the like. this would at least start getting you to grips with the cubase controls even if the loops will probably already be compressed and effcted in ome way and are umlikely to contain interference and hum. ( if only that were the case with real recording!!!)
