I have a AMDK 350 mhz computer with 24 megs ram, and a SB 16 card. Bought Powertracks 6.0 ...When I try to record wav track two with say, track one , the playback from the first track is as slow as the "chipmunks" were fast! Strangely, if I add wav tracks to one of the existing tutor.seq, or the demosong that comes with Powertracks, I can overdub as many wavs as i want with no problem....I have double checked audio settings per Powertracks manual, and scandisked and defragged..i have 92% resources available, clock off, screensavers and wallpaper off.....what next???
Its just happening when I start a new song from scratch. any thoughts guys? Thanks , Mike

Sounds like you're getting defaulted into one sample rate for recording and playing it back at another. Look for evidence of the sample rate at record time and at playback time.

Drstawl, where do i look ? and how do I change the sample rate? I looked at the PREFERENCES/Audio ...it' set up for 44 at 16...sorry Im not really that familiar with computer recording quite yet. I have Powertracks and Cakewalk 9.0 which ihavent tried yet. Both are installed, but im starting with powertracks first. Thanks for your interest and help. Mike
